Dubai reserves four public beaches for families during Eid Al Adha 2025
Four-day weekend begins June 5 with family-only beach zones in place
DUBAI: Families in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can look forward to a more exclusive and secure seaside experience this Eid Al Adha.
In a move to manage crowds and ensure a family-friendly environment, Dubai Municipality has announced that four of its most popular public beaches will be accessible only to families during the Eid holidays.
This year, the Day of Arafah falls on Thursday, June 5, followed by Eid Al Adha on Friday, June 6, offering UAE residents a four-day long weekend.
Family zones
The designated beaches include Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2. These areas, managed by Dubai Municipality, will be reserved solely for families during the public holiday. This initiative, which was also successfully implemented last year, aims to provide a more peaceful and inclusive recreational space during a period that typically sees high public turnout.
Safety measures
To handle the expected surge in visitors, a dedicated operations team will be deployed across these locations. A total of 126 rescue and safety personnel, equipped with advanced tools and logistical support, will be stationed at the family-only beaches.
In addition, 100 trained inspectors will oversee field activities, including crowd management, traffic regulation, security monitoring, and emergency response coordination.
Municipality role
